What makes green tea different from black tea?

It’s obviously not the plant. Camellia sinensis is the species of plant whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea. It’s how the plant parts are processed. Green tea and white teas undergo the most minimal processing of any commercially sold tea, which means that more of the tea’s natural benefits and nutrients are preserved.

What makes Black, green & white Different than Herbal tea ?

Herbal teas are made from botanicals while black, green & white teas are derived from the Camellia sinensis plant. The botanicals comprise roots, seeds, barkds, leaves & flowers. Steeping time for Herbal teas is much longer than green, black and white teas which only require 2-5 minutes. Herbal tea for medicinal purposes, like those formulated by Herbescent Tea & Botanicals, are best brewed for at least 10-15 minutes. Herbescent herbal teas become better not bitter with longer steeping times. The longer the steeping time the more healing properties are infused into your cup.
